when I cannot see

I am with you

…and I’ve never left. I was always here. It is only time spent with Me that removes the veil from your senses. That makes thin the fog between us.

I am always present whether or not You feel or see evidence of My Spirit; I am here.

This is why my people must learn to know & trust my voice as your Shepherd, so that you can walk with Me even when your physical senses cannot be trusted or circumstances paint a vehemently opposing picture.  

Circumstances, feelings, emotions, sensations, apparent evidence…none of it is solid ground.

Only My Word is your rock.

Only My Presence will be your shelter.

Sacred rhythms train you for the battle;

Spiritual practices prepare you for the storm.

The LORD is my light and my salvation;

whom shall I fear?

The LORD is the stronghold of my life;

of whom shall I be afraid?

When evildoers advance against me
to eat up my flesh,
my adversaries and my foes,

it is they who stumble and fall.

Though an army encamp against me,

my heart shall not fear;

Though war should arise against me,

even then I will be confident.

One thing I have asked of the LORD,

that will I seek after:

That I may dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,

to behold the beauty of the LORD
and to seek him in his temple.

For in the day of trouble he will hide me in his shelter;

he will conceal me in the cover of his tent;
he will set me high upon a rock.

And now my head shall be lifted up

above my enemies all around me,

And I will offer in his tent sacrifices of shouts of joy;

I will sing and make music to the LORD.
