an Invitation

from God your Father

First..just come, come and sit

Come and be served, come and be loved

Come and be fathered

Lay down your striving, your trying to please

Your trying to perform, your trying to give to God

Your trying to convince God, to implore Him to answer your prayers

Your begging God to pay attention to you

He’s already there, saying…

Just sit and let me delight over you

Listen to my words of peace, telling you who you really are

Come and find rest, come and be free

I have everything you need

And then when you’re fully at peace.. in this place of joy

Out of this abundance, where your heart is bursting

with my goodness and truth, then

go out in to the world

And be poured out.
