hide me

Lift up my head, lift up my eyes to You

I confess my sorrow.  I know that it is the residue

of wounds not yet fully healed

And hide me in Your shelter

I surrender to You my sorrow,  I lift it up to You

For You alone can fully be trusted with the deepest parts of me

You alone speak to my innermost being — with the words of Life

I confess my pride,  I lay it down

For You alone manifest the perfect balance of truth and grace

Your Truth, wrapped in an everlasting, unconditional,

enduring love for me is what holds

the freedom I most desire

Your grace, helps me hold to hope

I set my eyes & my heart upon You again

Draw me closer, lift my heart, grant me strength & resolve

For I am utterly dependent upon Your goodness to lure me

For your tender lovingkindness to provide shelter

For your belief in my value to be enough

For you to steady my feet and make straight my paths

You are all I have and all I need

I am all Yours
